    Adelaide is a young lady with remarkable patience, she's also calm, curious, and of kind nature, even though her face appears to be worried sometimes. When it's about her studies, she likes to be participative if she has knowledge in the area. On the other hand, she applies herself in her work, especially if there's some motivation in between. One of her best characteristics is her compassion, she sympathizes with the suffering of others. Occasionally she acts like a little sponge that absorbs the joy and melancholies of family or friends, either to feel them or suffer with them. She's gentle, thoughtful, and maybe a little too anxious. Usually, it's easy for her to get confused about something - sometimes she doubts a lot about her knowledge and she keeps her mouth closed when that happens.

    She's also friendly and so polite it becomes more than annoying. Even though she can be seen walking alone most of the time, she has no troubles getting into conversations, but in truth, her topics are a bit boring. To be honest, the relationship with her family is relatively normal – she currently lives alone with her parents at home because her sisters already own their homes, anyway, she receives visits from them often. Her mother has a somewhat difficult and strong personality, so Adelaide has indirectly copied certain characteristics of her. Sometimes, she can be too honest, so much so that she can't find a better way to say things without hurting someone.

    It can be said that she is a bit clueless when it comes to caring for others. She's a bit slow to understand body language so it's better to be direct with her when asking for something. Adelaide doesn't understand sarcasm and double sense, so she may end up being the subject of mockery in some occasions - unfortunately, she's a very sensitive girl who cares too much about others' opinions. In spite of her curiosity, she has certain impulses towards the unknown, she enjoys the mystery and she has a certain inclination for what is not at first glance. She doesn't have an exceptional talent and although she has a complicated point of view, her bests ideas arise in the worst situations.

    Notably, she has a serious obsession with birds, loves them very much - in fact, she loves animals in general. Adelaide is also the type of teen who seems to be afraid of nothing, she can go out walking in the dark without feeling a chill and that's because of the way she's been raised. Moreover, she's scared of things that only exist in her head, situations that haven’t arrived yet. She tends to be too nosey on other people’s business, due to her attempt to help them indirectly. She usually accepts other people's point of views even if it doesn't meet her own. Despite the positive connotations of her personality, she does have a negative side which appears to be unsociable and a little bit distant. Thus, she's pretty quick to notice things, but hesitates a lot to finally open her mouth.

    Adelaide was born and raised in Norwich as a refined young lady. Her father, Thomas Calder, fell in love with her mother Beatrice Bauchene after failing in his first marriage and in despite of criticism, he learned that age difference can be just a number. This girl spent her childhood hanging out with her two half-sisters and playing at home just like other children. When she was just a little girl she loved to play with dolls, but unfortunately, sometimes her sister Christine liked to decapitate them for no reason, so Adelaide used to put spiders in her bed as revenge. After a time, when her childish tantrums calmed down, reading and writing became more than her right hand, changing her way of thinking for a more analytical one that could confuse anyone who heard it. She never was an extroverted girl, for most of her childhood she showed no signs of magical abilities, more so if she only cared to keep herself busy creating imaginary worlds in her own mind.

    However, there weren’t many critical events in her childhood, but you could say that the way she got her first pet was quite peculiar: When she was around seven years old, she spent sleepless nights thanks to her chatty sister Elizabeth who used to finish her talks at about 3 a.m. So one of those dawns, when the girl finally decided to be quiet, another noise destroyed her beauty sleep, nothing more and nothing less that the howling of an owl on the branch of a tree in front of the window. Her sister found her wild side when Adelaide planned catching the animal trying to jump from the third floor just like Peter Pan. Those ideas never succeeded because of the owl, which proceeded to chase the little girl around the room with bad intentions. No one was injured in the end and although being an owl of bad behavior, he managed to yield only to his first victim who later became his owner – he possibly had mistaken her for a big rat.

    She went to local schools, growing up she had just a few friends due to being a bit shy, but since little she used to be that girl who curtsy to everyone as a royal princess, nonetheless, smug and vain character wasn't her thing. At home, her father owned many old books and she decided to learn about history in her spare time, ancient and boring stories were something lovely to her, so with the passage of time, she became a bit knowledgeable about it. Adelaide also grew up feeling certain affection towards animals, although she was part of those girls who remained calm drawing in a piece of paper, without disturbing anyone, could also be the daughter who brought live or dead lizards from the backyard. In view of this, her parents decided to take their child and make periodic visits to the regional zoo, in order to develop and strengthen her enthusiasm and ambition for the subject.

    The day her Hogwarts letter came in, her family started to betting each other trying to guess which house the young lady would be a part of. Her mother won, and her father ended with striking pink hair. In Adelaide’s first year at Hogwarts, she was placed in Ravenclaw. She just wanted to go home at the beginning, but things changed quickly – luckily, she found amazing friends to support her in the first years of study. Years later, as her owl was a little bit old, she saw it best to leave him at home for her next year of studies. Then, the problem was to find a new animal. Fortunately, on holidays when she was feeding pigeons in the backyard of her house, a family of crows made presence scaring away the other birds. She thought it was pretty normal, mostly because she believed that those crows were something like dwarf pigeons, so she ignored almost everything about it until the following days, where she realized that one of the crows stayed and had prowling as a stalker, waiting for food. That crow remained faithful in the same place the girl had fed him, he even brought gifts from time to time, things like branches, the neighbor's checks, necklaces, buttons - he loved bright and shiny things.

    Furthermore, it was pretty easy to be friends with her - she's the one who goes through the halls shyly greeting everyone she knows. Her trust is something that takes a lot of time to gain. Now that she's studying again, she tries to not distract herself too much because of small inconveniences she had in the past, but anyways, she will always be someone to share a little secret with.
